Guest Ratings & Reviews
I had a delightful stay at this hotel. The rooms were bright, clean, and well-maintained, with a comfy bed and fresh towels. The peaceful location between two streets made it so quiet, although the room was a bit small. The service was outstanding, with very friendly and accommodating staff. The location was excellent, just a short walk to pubs and restaurants, with easy access to buses and trams for sightseeing. The dining experience was a bit chaotic, but there was a good selection of cereals. Overall, a modern and comfy hotel with a great location.
The hotel's location is superb, right underneath the castle and within easy walking distance to everything in Edinburgh. The rooms were modern and lovely, although they didn't entirely match the photos. The service was attentive and accommodating, with a quick room change when needed. The dining experience could be improved with larger portions for the price. Overall, a convenient and comfortable stay with friendly staff.
Staying at the hotel was a delightful experience overall. The rooms were well-equipped and had everything one could need, including a convenient kitchen. The service was exceptional, with the staff going above and beyond to ensure a comfortable stay. The location was superb, being very close to Princes Street. However, the dining options could have been more varied, and the breakfast service was a bit slow on some occasions.
My stay at the hotel was delightful! The rooms had everything I needed for both a short and long stay, and the castle view from my room was absolutely breathtaking. The rooms were immaculate and felt brand new, although they were a bit on the smaller side almost feeling 2-dimensional. The service was beyond helpful and caring, with the staff always being really nice, welcoming, and polite. They even took the time to recommend great places to visit and eat. The location was super convenient, being centrally located just around the corner from Grassmarket with easy access to both the Old Town and a nice stroll to New Town. The view of the castle from my room was picture-perfect, and the area was surrounded by charming bars and restaurants, offering a more peaceful setting away from the busy high street shops. The dining experience was good overall, although there were a few hiccups, and the facilities were lovely to use. Two minute walk access to several pubs/restaurants at Grassmarket and easy transportation options made exploring the city a breeze.
Staying at the hotel was a mixed experience. The rooms were conveniently located near everything but were too warm during the night. The high-quality furnishings and cleanliness were impressive, although the small window close to the ceiling was a drawback. The service was friendly and helpful but had some issues, and the location was excellent, offering easy access to all parts of Edinburgh. The dining experience was decent with some good options but also had its shortcomings. Overall, there were positives and negatives to consider during my stay.
My stay at the hotel was incredibly comfortable and convenient. The room had everything I needed, from a massive bed and TV to a self-contained kitchenette and a rainforest shower. The location was superb, right next to the castle and within walking distance of many attractions. The dining experience was a bit chaotic, but the hotel is filled with friendly staff and offers great value for money.
The hotel had ups and downs. The rooms were beyond efficient and friendly, but unfortunately, the noise was a major issue. The service was a bit mixed, with standout staff members but some areas lacking. The location was superb with stunning views of the castle and surrounded by vibrant bars and restaurants. The dining experience varied greatly, from poor to excellent. Overall, a decent stay with some aspects that needed improvement.
I absolutely loved the convenience of this hotel's amazing location right under the castle, making it a perfect starting point for exploring Edinburgh. The rooms were clean and comfortable, although the kitchenette was a bit tiny. The service was friendly and helpful, but there were some disruptions at night that affected our sleep quality. The dining experience, while a bit expensive for our budget, offered decent options. Overall, a great value for the location and amenities.
I had a mixed experience at the hotel. The rooms were spacious and well-equipped, perfect for a family stay, but the noisy nights impacted my sleep quality. The location was excellent for exploring the city, with easy access to attractions and dining options. The service was outstanding, though the dining choices were limited and pricey.
I absolutely loved my stay at the hotel! The rooms were impeccably clean and had a lovely view of the castle. The location was just perfect, right next to the castle and within walking distance of all the main attractions. The service was top-notch, especially thanks to Monika who went above and beyond to make our stay special. However, the dining experience left a bit to be desired with limited breakfast options. Overall, a fantastic stay with great value for money.
The hotel is in an excellent location with fantastic amenities nearby. The rooms are cozy and well-equipped, though could use a bit more thorough cleaning. The service is attentive and accommodating, particularly with luggage storage. The dining experience offers a good variety but can be pricey for the portion sizes. Overall, a great value for a pleasant stay.
My stay at the hotel was fantastic! The rooms were well designed and decorated with a modern, fresh interior, equipped with a kitchenette and offering a stunning castle view. They were spacious with a great wet room feel. The service was top-notch, with incredibly welcoming and helpful staff. The location was superb, right in Grassmarket with a view of the castle and surrounded by numerous bars and restaurants. The only minor drawback was the lack of storage in the bathroom. The dining experience was excellent, offering a wide selection of dishes, though breakfast could be improved. Overall, a great value for money stay with easy access to everything.
